I ask...

I ask the God of our Master, Jesus Christ, the God of glory —

to make you intelligent and discerning in knowing Him personally

your eyes focused and clear, so that you can see exactly what it is He is calling you to do

grasp the immensity of this glorious way of life He has for His followers,

oh, the utter extravagance of His work in us who trust Him

— endless energy, boundless strength!

Responding with action, not surprise...

"Why do Christians stand silent when our President makes the statement, 'we are not a Christian nation any longer'?

I can’t speak for all Christians, but I can tell you why I don’t address it… He’s right. We’re no longer a Christian nation. Christians need to realize we live in a post-Christian nation, start understanding the implications of that change, and stop whining. Read Ecclesiastes 7:10 What are some of the ‘implications’? Being missional and serving the world are two great starting points. Also, in a post-Christian world, people don’t care how much you know until they know how much you care.
-- From a Q&A email sent out by Ken Williams, pastor of West Cobb Church

As one who agrees completely with his response, I wanted to share it. Now is not the time to be surprised that we are 'not a Christian nation any longer', but it is the time to fulfill our calling given by Jesus in Matthew 28: to go out an share the message of Christ's love with those God has placed in your life.

And remember His promise, "I'll be with you as you do this, day after day after day, right up to the end of the age."
